Johnson & Johnson is significantly changing one of its most iconic products by discontinuing talc-based baby powder and switching to a cornstarch-based version. This move comes after thousands of lawsuits from consumers who claim that the talc in J&J's baby powder caused cancer, despite the company's long-standing defence of the product's safety.

BBC Coverage

The BBC News reports that the new cornstarch-based powder will soon replace the talc version, with existing inventories of the talc product allowed to be sold until they run out. This switch marks a major shift for a product that has been a household staple since 1894.
