In one of the most significant legal battles in recent history, KP Law is leading the charge against Johnson & Johnson (J&J) on behalf of thousands of cancer survivors and the families of those who have tragically passed away. KPL is currently representing UK-based claimants in legal proceedings, bringing forward a case that could set a powerful precedent.

By the end of the year,  KP Law expects to file papers at the UK High Court, marking a crucial step towards holding J&J accountable. Notably, KP Law is the only law firm in the UK with a proven track record of resolving hundreds of UK talc claims without needing to file proceedings in the US. This experience and success uniquely position KP Law to navigate the complexities of this case and support its clients in gaining the compensation and justice they deserve.

"As we continue to seek justice for those affected, our thoughts are with the survivors and families. We remain committed to ensuring that no corporation is above the law when it comes to consumer safety,"

For decades, the multinational corporation knew about the dangers of asbestos in its talc products yet continued to sell them in the UK until 2023. Despite being aware of the risks since the 1970s, J&J chose profits over safety—a decision that has had devastating consequences for countless individuals. KP Law has gathered substantial evidence to support these claims, further strengthening the case against J&J.

J&J has already set aside over $10 billion to settle cases in the US. Meanwhile, in July this year, the World Health Organisation's International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified talc as "probably carcinogenic" to humans, further highlighting the gravity of the situation

Tom Longstaff, KP Law's lead partner on this case, emphasised that this is yet another painful reminder of how a trusted corporation can fail its consumers with tragic results.
